Southern Chiefs’ Economic Development Corp. Golf Tournament 2019
Successful futures are created through hard work, creativity, and perseverance.
On Thursday, September 5th, 2019, the Southern Chiefs Economic Development Corp. (SCEDC) will be hosting their Second Annual Golf Tournament. The primary goal of this year’s tournament is to provide support in the form of bursaries for students enrolled in an accredited college or university. SCEDC believes that education is a key component to a self sustaining and healthy community and would like to recognize the hard work and commitment that Indigenous students put into their studies.
We are proud to announce our partnership with Indspire, a national Indigenous registered charity that invests in the education of Indigenous people for the long-term benefit of these individuals, their families, communities, and Canada. This year, our goal is to contribute a total of $50,000 in educational scholarships to the communities of the Southern Chiefs Organization. Your donation now will be matched dollar for dollar through funding from the Federal Government, doubling the impact of your contribution. Scholarships will be distributed to eligible Indigenous students who are currently attending an accredited post-secondary education institution. This is an exciting opportunity to take part in a friendly game of golf as well as a chance to advertise your organization among the Southern Chiefs of Manitoba and SCEDC’s partners.
Above all, with your help we can provide real opportunity in education for Indigenous people.
