Giving Voice & Being Heard: The 7 Invitations Contest
The Giving Voice Project is funded by the Commission for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and the Laxgalts’ap Village Government. The goal is to support victims of domestic violence in the Nass Valley.
The Giving Voice Project is inviting every single person, of any age, living in the Nass Valley to participate in the following contests: Draw Out, Carve Out, Speak Out, Sing Out, Drum Out, Dance Out, Write Out.… All ages are invited to Create and Connect Community.
Invitation #1: GIVING VOICE LOGO CONTEST
What? The Giving Voice Task Force is looking for a logo to symbolize respect and safety in families. This invitation is in support of healthy relationships.
This symbol will be on jackets, Giving Voice Face Book Page, letter head, posters etc.
Why? • $200 in Prizes • Being part of positive change, cultural pride and healing. • $100 first prize (selected by Giving Voice Task Force). • 4 draws of $25
gift certificates, from local businesses. Winners will be posted on the Giving Voice Face Book page, as well as be notified individually.
Who? • Any age is encouraged to draw; paint or computer generate images for the logo. • More than one creation is accepted from individuals.
When? • Opens June 7th – Closes August 31
How? • Logo must fit onto an 8’ x 11’ paper. • Name and email must be included. • All designs to be scanned and emailed to

The Giving Voice Facebook Page is a place where people can post resources, constructive ideas and insights, and build a safe and respectful
community of concerned and pro-active individuals of all ages.
The project hopes to give voice and empower those who have lost their voice. The conversation is starting! Let’s lift our voices and be heard. Everyone
has something to say.
