Breastfeeding Education Webinar Series

Indigenous Parenting, a webinar series rooted in traditional wellness for expecting families and families with babies.

In our second and third sessions, we will be joined by Marguerit James and Ashley Simpson to learn about breastfeeding, milk supply and more.

Marguerit James is a Coast Salish Elder from Penelakut Island, currently living on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Marguerit is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Marguerit works to support the health of children and families by offering cultural supports and teachings by connecting families to culture, language, and the land.

Ashley Simpson is of Wet’suwet’en, English, and Scottish ancestry, currently living on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation with her husband and 2 young children.

Ashley is a doula, childbirth educator, and breastfeeding counselor, and works for the First Nations Health Authority as part of the Maternal, Child & Family Health team.
