Application Deadline: Halls Island Artist Residency
Applications are open now for artists of all types (musicians, writers, visual artists, performers, etc.) to apply for this summer’s residency program. Halls Island Artist Residency is free of charge, providing cabin accommodation on an off-grid private island in Haliburton County.
In summer 2022, we are delighted to be able to offer a $2,000 scholarship to an Indigenous artist. We received a grant from the TD Ready Challenge Fund that allows us to offer all our resident artists a $200 stipend and a small bursary to offset transportation costs. The committee was unanimous to set aside $2,000 for an Indigenous artist.
Applications close January 15, 2022 and are available online. All applicants must complete the general application; the additional scholarship application is also online with the same deadline.
