Let's Talk Treaties-Bone

Millennium Library, Carol Shields Auditorium
Drop-in.

Elder Harry Bone has worked tirelessly and quietly throughout his life to bolster Indigenous rights. Elder Bone will discuss the original spirit and intent of Treaty which involves understanding the agreements as negotiated, rather than how Treaties have been reinterpreted long after the fact. He is a member of Keeseekoowenin Ojibway Nation where he served as a Chief and Director of Education.

This program is one of a four-part series called Let’s Talk Treaties. Special guests from the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba (TRCM) will help us gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be Treaty people in Manitoba. Learn more about treaties online on the Let’s Talk Treaty radio interviews www.trcm.ca/multimedia/lets-talk-treaty.
