Indigenous Music Night at The Stone
505 Oakview Ave Winnipeg, Manitoba R2K 0S8
The Stone presents Indigenous Music Night on Saturday May 20th! The concert features the Ottawa-based band Twin Flames, who won Aboriginal Songwriters of the year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2016.
Twin Flames, combine two accomplished and unique singer songwriters; Jaaji, an Inuk Mohawk man from Nunavik, and Chelsey June, an Algonquin Cree Métis Woman from Ottawa. Together, with their band, Twin Flames takes the audience on a musical journey across Canada and the Arctic, they echo the voices of their ancestors and depict life on the land as they sing songs in English, Inuktitut, and French. They leave audiences fascinated, intrigued, and inspired.
